The 2005 Mercedes-Benz E-Class is a 4-door, up to 7-passenger luxury sedan, luxury sports sedan, or luxury wagon, available in 6 trims, ranging from the E320 Sedan to the E55 AMG. Upon introduction, the E320 Sedan is equipped with a standard 3.2-liter, V6, 221-horsepower engine that achieves 20-mpg in the city and 28-mpg on the highway. The E55 AMG is equipped with a standard 5.5-liter, V8, 469-horsepower, supercharged engine that achieves 14-mpg in the city and 21-mpg on the highway. A 5-speed automatic transmission with overdrive is standard on both trims. The 2005 Mercedes-Benz E-Class is a carryover from 2004.
