The 2009 Borrego is a 4-door, 7-passenger sport-utility, available in 7 trims, ranging from the LX V6 to the EX V8 4WD. Upon introduction, the LX V6 is equipped with a standard 3.8-liter, V6, 276-horsepower engine that achieves 17-mpg in the city and 21-mpg on the highway. A 5-speed automatic transmission with overdrive is standard. The EX V8 4WD is equipped with a standard 4.6-liter, V8, 337-horsepower engine that achieves 15-mpg in the city and 20-mpg on the highway. A 6-speed automatic transmission with overdrive is standard. The 2009 Borrego is all-new for 2009.
